Affording a stair lift

If financing the cost of a brand new stair lift is likely to be a problem, it does not necessarily mean that you have to do without one. There are other options available to you.

Rental of stair lifts is available for those who need it but don’t have the budget for it. Some rental companies offer quite attractive rental rates for their straight stair lifts. But make sure to test the lift out before you get it installed into your home. And remember to read the fine print because stair lifts are convenient but if the stair lift is no longer in good condition, it could be dangerous. And you just want to make sure it’s as safe as safe can be.

If you’re not comfortable with renting a stair lift, there are many ways to get reasonably cheap funding for your straight stair lift. For instance, you can get financing by way of personal loan, grants, financing or easy-payment-schemes offered by the dealers themselves, home equity loans or reverse mortgages. Purchase of a straight stair lift is an important decision, so, make sure you’ve covered as much ground as possible before you buy one.
